miR Scientific is currently exploring insurance coverage and Medicare reimbursement with several carriers in the US and Puerto Rico but is currently not yet pre-approved with most insurance carriers. miR Scientific will submit claims to insurance carriers and follow-up with appeals as applicable before billing patients. In the event a patient is billed, patients will have the option of paying with credit card or check. We also offer a patient assistance program called miR Access™, which is based on a patient’s financial need in accordance with federal guidelines. For self-pay accounts or to pay patient balances related to non-covered charges, copays, coinsurance, or deductibles, the following credit card types are accepted (including those associated with a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account):
